Skyfall Crew Possibly Filming at Ascot Train Station
Posted December 18th, 2011
A picture posted on twitter suggests that the Second Unit crew on Skyfall are filming at the Ascot Racecourse railway station, in Berkshire, England. Just last month the film crew were shooting at the Ascot itself, using the grandstands to double for the Shanghai International Airport. The two are surprisingly similar architecturally, and the racecourse had also previously featured in A View To A Kill in 1985.
It is unknown if the crew in the picture are actually working on Skyfall though, as Daniel Craig is busy promoting his latest film The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in New York, director Sam Mendes is temporarily busy finishing up his stage production of Richard III, and producer Michael Wilson is supposedly out of the country also.
It is only speculation from the bystander who snapped the photo, but if it is a scene for Skyfall, it is unlikely that the railway station will be set in Shanghai, as the signage is all in English.
